Who we are

Greenpeace International is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and has more than 300 staff from all corners of the globe and from all walks of life working to fulfil its mission. Our shared value is our commitment to working for a green and peaceful future for everyone.

Working at Greenpeace International means being a part of something bigger than yourself; it means doing what you love while protecting the planet. Our teams tackle the tough, relevant issues including climate change, deforestation and ocean pollution.

What to Expect

At Greenpeace International, we lead global campaigns and provide strategic support to the national and regional organisations. Depending on your role, you will be located in Amsterdam or in one of the national regional organisations.

Working at Greenpeace International will not necessarily place you on the front lines of a protest, but it also doesn’t mean you can’t get involved. There are opportunities to remain connected to the issues so you can share information, participate in actions, get on board one of the ships we operate or volunteer outside of the workday.

At Greenpeace International, no day is the same. In a fast-changing world we have to be more agile and resilient. Our team are willing to take smart risks, test ideas and learn through practice. It’s not about getting everything right or wrong — but the process we use to solve a problem.

Our Culture

The heart of Greenpeace has always been its people. Building on the spirit and legacy of our founders, we continue to come together as a diverse group of thoughtful, committed activists working to achieve a common mission: to seek a green and peaceful world that supports life in all its diversity. At Greenpeace International we are committed to provide a healthy work-life balance enabling our staff to be the best version of themselves, so together we can spark a better tomorrow. Greenpeace International is committed to the growth and development of staff and offers a variety of inhouse programmes and trainings. Each NRO, as well as GPI offers a competitive compensation & benefits package. If you are curious, optimistic, inclusive, authentic and empathetic then you’ll fit right in.

Greenpeace is a global network supported by 2.8 million individuals worldwide with 27 independent national and regional organisations across the globe covering operations in more than 55 countries.

Diversity & Inclusion

Greenpeace International is an equal opportunity employer with a longstanding commitment of providing a work environment that respects the dignity and worth of each individual.
