Who we are
Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Greenpeace International employs more than 250 staff from all corners of the globe and from all walks of life. Our shared value is our commitment to working for a green and peaceful future for everyone.
Working at Greenpeace International means being a part of something bigger than yourself; it means doing what you love while protecting the planet. Our teams tackle the tough, relevant issues including climate change, deforestation and ocean pollution.
What to Expect
At Greenpeace International, we lead global campaigns and provide strategic support to our national and regional offices. Depending on your role, you will be located in Amsterdam or in one of our national regional offices.
Working at Greenpeace International will not necessarily place you on the front lines of a protest, but it also doesn’t mean you can’t get involved. There are opportunities to remain connected to the issues so you can share information, participate in actions, get on board one of the ships we operate or volunteer outside of the workday.
At Greenpeace International, no day is the same. In a fast-changing world we have to be more agile and resilient. Our team are willing to take smart risks, test ideas and learn through practice. It’s not about getting everything right or wrong — but the process we use to solve a problem.
Greenpeace International is invested in people. There are opportunities to sign up for professional development: such as skill shares, language courses and more. You can challenge yourself, to learn and to
stretch and grow. If you are curious, optimistic, open and inclusive, authentic and empathetic then you’ll fit right in.
Greenpeace International also offers additional benefits where statutory provisions regarding sick leave, health care, parental leave and pension are minimal or considered insufficient. We also recognise that staff may have care obligations. Our goal is to work hard to remove obstacles and maximise flexibility to the extent that is possible and reasonable. All our staff, no matter the location, has the same compensation and benefits policy.
Greenpeace is a global organisation supported by 2.5 million individuals worldwide with 26 independent national and regional offices across the globe covering operations in more than 55 countries.
